AA Young Driver Training

AA DriveTech, which recently announced it was making Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground its base for fleet risk management and driver education services, is holding its first driving event for under-17s on Sunday 27th April.  To take part, youngsters must be over 4′ 9″ (1.5m) tall and to be able to read a new-style car number plate at 20 metres.

Under the guidance of its experienced and qualified driving instructors, the DriveTech day for under-17s gives teenagers the chance to learn the basics of driving in a safe and controlled environment.  It’s an ideal and fun experience before they can start taking driving lessons on public roads.

What to expect on the day:

Young drivers will negotiate a small circuit under the guidance of one of AA Driving School’s team of fully qualified driving instructors.  Following a full safety briefing and introduction to the car’s controls, the young driver will have the opportunity to practice manoeuvring as well as changing gears, steering, cornering, accelerating and braking.

Tickets cost £59 for the hour-long session and sell fast.  To book your place, go online at:
